Teaching

I am enthusiastic about teaching. As a graduate student at the University of Cincinnati I have primarily been a teaching assistant in sophomore level biology labs. I also was the head TA for the Evolution, Ecology and Genetics course assisting in training other teaching assistance, writing the lab manual, prepping lab materials and administrating the course website. I also am the instructor mentor for the dual enrollment environmental studies program.

Teaching Evaluations

What the Students Say
Lindsay made the classroom environment extremely welcoming and encouraged students to ask questions. It was very obvious that she is passionate about Ecology and got everyone enthused about the various field experiments.
-- Ecology Student, Spring 2011
She was personable and knowledgeable, which made it much easier to communicate and learn from her.
-- Genetics Student, Autumn 2011
She always tied the material we covered into real life applications.
-- Genetics and Cell Student, Fall 2012
I enjoyed Lindsay a lot. She was very efficient and very helpful when needed. Always had a smile on her face which changes the whole environment and enthusiasm for the classroom when surrounded by such positive energy. I would recommend her to anyone.
-- Freshman Biology Student, Winter 2011
Enthusiastic nature kept the class going and kept the subject material interesting and engaging.
-- Genetics Student, Autumn 2011
The thing I think separates Lindsay as one of the best TAs is the quality of feedback she gave on reports.
-- Ecology Student, Spring 2011
She was easy to talk to during class
